OSD Model
As the old saying goes, “If you always do what you have always done, then you will always get what you always got.” The OSD model is useful for framing an organization’s thinking about its current and future design.
In this model, we first examine the past design choices made by the organization and the effect these choices have had on the organization’s outcomes. Second, we identify design choices that create the ideal organization to achieve desired outcomes. Third, we identify the gaps between its current state and future state, then plan how best to design, align, and deploy solutions.
